Minimalist tower defense game

Torecower is a premium strategy game from MAZETTE LTD. This minimalist tower defense experience lets you build automatically firing structures against wave after wave of enemies. In between each wave is a short break that lets you choose an upgrade on the skill tree. Different gameplay strategies will require different upgrades, making this game replayable.

What it lacks in detail and animation, Torecower makes up with its casual feel and gameplay flexibility. This is a lighter, more simplistic alternative to other tower defense games like Kingdom Rush Vengeance TD, Army of Darkness Defense, or Zombies vs Towers.

Define your own core tower

Unlike other tower defense games, Torecower puts you in control of a single tower that acts as the center of your defenses. You then deploy shooters for attack and magnets that pull coins regularly. As you defeat incoming enemies, you can deploy stronger units such as Arcanes that attack using various elemental magics. At the end of every wave, you get to choose an upgrade for your base.

It mostly consists of solid colored 2D shapes on a black and gray grid, making the game feel straightforward, although it’s worth noting that the difficulty steadily increases. While the game isn’t limitless, having only 20 waves to go through, there is good replayability value thanks to its content variety. Over a dozen turrets with a couple of different classes lets you test different combinations with each playthrough.

Other than the increasing volume and speed of the enemy, the game can get boring real fast for experienced TD players. Content limitations give players less than 10 different types of enemies that only repeat and increase in number. Another noteworthy aspect of the app is that it’s virtually lag and crash free, letting you enjoy the game in all its low-resolution glory.

A fun, casual TD title

Overall, Torecower is worth every cent you pay for it. You can enjoy it for several hours because of the increasingly challenging run and the different tower combinations available. The simple shapes and solid colors have a certain appeal to them, catering to fans of minimalistic visual presentations. The game is well-optimized and is great for that casual base-building action.
